THE FINGER!!!

The FINGER was an all-inclusive genderqueer open mike and variety show held monthly at Chicago’s own feminist sex-toy store, EARLY TO BED (www.early2bed.com), from January 2004 – May 2005.

Co-hosted by Ana Jae and Nomy Lamm, the FINGER created space for local queers of all kinds to cultivate risk-taking in the artistic arena. In the year and a half of its existence we witnessed each other through poetry, improv, comedy, folk, rock, dance, storytelling, video, and lots of other brilliant and inspiring performance art and personal sharing.

We are sad to say that the FINGER is no more. This means there is a space to be filled. We encourage all ambitious queers to do their part to create community space where we can show ourselves, participate authentically, and challenge the homophobic, racist, sexist corporate and government control of our hearts, minds and bodies.
